Funding

The One World Centre's main source of current funding is from the Government’s Department for International Development (DfID). During recent times we have also had generous support from Oxfam and from Dundee City Council.

Our main DfID funding comes via the IDEAS network for work on the Global Learning Programme (GLP) which helps teachers to deliver global education to children and young people.

Oxfam has helped the One World Centre (and others working in development education) because it views education as a valuable way of working towards its ultimate goal of eradicating world poverty.

Education is the most powerful tool which you can use to change the world.”   Nelson Mandela
